We saw my oncologist yesterday and got a better idea of the treatment plan. In short, it’s complicated! There’s a schedule of different chemotherapy drugs and an immunotherapy drug. It will last for a year with surgery and radiation thrown in there too. It’s set to begin on Friday, February 10. While it sounds like it will be grueling, I’m ready to begin and still feel like I am in good hands.
Next week sounds easy, (I know, Murphy has just been tempted). It’s just an echocardiogram on Tuesday, February 31, to make sure my heart is ready for the treatments.
The following week I get the port on Monday, an MRI guided biopsy early Wednesday morning (Maybe we’ll see the sunrise from the ferry for that one), and then the first treatment that Friday.
Somewhere in there I need to get a very short haircut! Bye, bye curls—for now.
Much love,
D’Arcy

I’m anxious to see the new haircut. Don’t know if I’ll go so far as to shave my head to show solidarity with you later on, but I’ll make scarves for you from my vast fabric stash. Love you muchly.❤️🙏👨🦲
Okay, I’ll slide on the solidarity, close-cut hair cut. How about dying it a fun color?! 👩🎤🧑🎤👨🎤 😁
